The RUC GC Foundation exists to mark the sacrifices and honour the achievements of the Royal Ulster Constabulary. This policy relates to personal data collected and held by the Foundation.

Personal Data Collected

The Foundation collects and holds names, email addresses and postal addresses for the following purposes.

  • Informing our volunteers and wider family of events and news in relation to Foundation events and activities.

The Foundation deems its lawful reason for collecting data as those listed below-

  • Necessary to protect the vital interests of a data subject.
  • Performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller.
  • Legitimate interests pursued by the controller.

We will not use any of your personal for marketing purpose and we will not share it with another body or institution.

Data Security

Personal data is held on the RUC GC Foundation stand alone computer and in hard copy format in a safe or filing cabinet in the Foundation offices in a secure corridor. Access is restricted to Foundation staff and Trustees. The office is locked when not in use and can only be accessed by Foundation staff.
