On Friday 5th March, chairman Stephen White welcomed new trustee, Joanne Bunting, to the RUC GC Foundation. Joanne met
office staff and visited the RUC Memorial Garden.
Stephen White said, “I am absolutely delighted that Joanne has joined our small team of trustees. For the first time during my

Dear friends and colleagues, as Chairman of the Royal Ulster Constabulary GC Foundation, I know how difficult the past eight or nine months have beenfor many of us and our loved ones. It has also been very challenging for the RUCGC Foundation as we attempted to fulfill its mandate and achieve its annual objectives.

Northern Ireland. Up to £5,000 and three weeks of research leave is
available.
The Bursaries are a core part of the Foundation’s mandate to support
policing innovations and are delivered in partnership with Ulster
University and PSNI. They aim to support individual officers and staff in
their professional development and contribute to improvements and
innovations in policing in Northern Ireland. We encourage proposals that

Two RUC officers killed in a 1972 IRA gun attack on their vehicle in Londonderry were remembered at the War Memorial in the city on the anniversary of their deaths.
Sergeant Peter Gilgunn (26) and David Montgomery (20) were the first of 20 RUC casualties that year.
Chairman of the RUCGC Foundation Stephen White, who laid a wreath at the cenotaph, said it was important not to forget the sacrifice and dedication of the RUC officers.
