Act of Remembrance – Friday 11 November 2016

The annual Royal Ulster Constabulary George Cross Act of Remembrance was held on a beautiful autumnal day in the Area of Peace within the Garden at 11am on Friday 11th November 2016. The Service was once again conducted by the Reverend Dr. Colin McClure, the Minister of First Larne Presbyterian Church, and this year was attended by over 200 people. Those attending included both serving and retired police officers and support staff, along with many members of the wider police family.  A number of wreaths were laid, including one on behalf of the Foundation and one on behalf of the Chief Constable.

'They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.'
