RUC GC Day
To mark the foundation of the Royal Ulster Constabulary on 1 June 1922 the Trustees of the Foundation have declared the first Sunday in June each year to be "Royal Ulster Constabulary GC Day".
An inter-denominational church service held on this day will celebrate the service and sacrifice of the RUC family and remind the wider community that the peace they now enjoy was bought at a cost. A specially composed "RUCGC Prayer" will be read at this and other appropriate police welfare events.
